Winter is such a brutal time for skin. It’s cold, it’s miserable- everything ends up chapped and dry. So I’ve currently been trialing a few new skin products to keep my skin happy and healthy during the winter months.
Here’s what I’m using for my winter skincare routine:
Make-Up Remover: To remove my makeup I’m either using Soap and Glory’s “Peaches and Cream” cleansing wash OR the L’Oréal cleansing oil. The peaches and cream has such an amazing smell and it’s really soft on the skin. The only thing I hate about it is that I literally can’t remove any eye makeup with it- without it kinda feeling like acid.
The L’Oréal oil is so smooth and so much better for removing the stubborn blackness around the eyes. It is a little greasy, however- so if you’ve got oily skin I probably would avoid.
Face wash: I’m using the Simple age resisting facewash (not because I feel like I’m turning into a haggard old prune just yet) but because it’s super gentle, fresh and makes my skin feel AMAZING.
Cleanser and Toner: I’ve been using the Nivea two-in-one cleanser and toner. It’s alright- nothing to shout from the rooftops about and it smells a bit chemical, so I’ll probably be replacing this at some point. But for now? It does the job. Waste not want not eh?
Moisturiser: Again, my weird obsession with Simple strikes! This moisturizer is to balance oily skin and it’s smooth, soft and generally just gorgeous. Also, it doesn’t seem to give me spots yet (fingers crossed!)
