My top 10 Gaga songs

I’m trying something new on the blog today… music.

It’s such a massive part of my life, considering that I spend my life plugged into Spotify, streaming it in the car and singing in the shower.

So I thought I’d try a top 10 of my favorite artists once a week. Basically, just listing my favorite songs, so if you haven’t heard them or love them equally you can see where my preferences lie!

Starting this week with an absolute queen, Gaga.

I was supposed to see her in concert a week or so ago but due to illness she rescheduled. If you’re not already a little monster, these are the songs I would recommend:

(These are also my PERSONAL favs and I am by no means saying they’re the best)

10 – The Cure

Released as a single, I feel like this song totally brought Gaga to mainstream pop with a bang. Catchy as hell, I love this song. Also one of my fav live performances when she did this at Coachella.

Best line: If I can’t find the cure, I’ll fix you with my love

9- Dance in the dark

Synth, sex, silicone and saline… this song is apparently about a woman who only has sex with the lights off? But I’m relating it to dancing like the ho that I am in nightclubs.

Best line: Marilyn, Judy, Sylvia. Tell ’em how you feel girls!

8- Applause

An undeniably infectious tune. Also the music video is brilliant. If you haven’t bopped around to this in the shower, then you are missing the hell out.

Best Line: I’ve overheard your theory “nostalgia’s for geeks.

7- Joanne

Inspired by the passing of her aunt, Joanne- this is stripped down Gaga at her absolute best. This mellow ballad gives a completely different look at her as an artist. Also, if you’ve seen the documentary, this song has so much soul and meaning it might bring a tear to your eye.

Best Line: Honestly, I know where you’re goin’… And baby, you’re just movin’ on

6- Venus

Fun, tongue in cheek brilliance. This song is so damn catchy. Critically I don’t believe that it performed that well, but it doesn’t stop me LOVING IT.

Best Line: Uranus! Don’t you know my ass is famous?

5- Million Reasons

Acoustic guitars and country vibes sum up this beautiful song. So full of soul, meaning and a song that emotionally I want to play loud, sing loud and cry loud to.

Best Line: I bow down to pray, I try to make the worst seem better.

4- Gypsy

Musically this has SO much to give. It’s beat makes me feel like I’m jumping up and down in a sweaty crowd, screaming at the top of my lungs. This song is fun AF.

Best Line: I don’t want be alone forever… but I can be tonight

3- Bloody Mary

Dark, sinister and moody- I fucking love this side of Gaga. AND ~*breathes* she’s playing this on the Joanne tour!!! AGHH

Best Line: I’ll dance, dance, dance with my hands above my head- like Jesus said.

2- Edge of Glory

This song has a motherfucking sax solo. Lyrically it’s insane. I don’t even need to justify this song.

Best Line: It’s time to feel the rush to push the dangerous. I’m gonna run right to, to the edge with you, where we can both fall further in love

1- Speechless

I think this song demonstrates the pure, raw talent of Gaga’s voice and lyrical genius. There’s nothing glitzy here, just basic brilliant talent.

Best Line: So baby raise a glass to mend, all the broken hearts of all my wrecked up friends.

Hope your enjoyed!

Next week? Adele!
