Inside my make-up bag

When it comes to everyday makeup- I’m very much someone who really doesn’t have a huge amount of time in the morning. Rightly so, I prioritize sleep over my face.

I’ve been known to avoid wearing it for days, doing it slapdash in the car or coming into work with streaky eyes from the night before… however, I thought that 2017 would be the year that I stopped being so lazy about it- and started making some effort.

As I  spend a huge amount of time bouncing between my own house and my boyfriend’s, I decided that I needed to piece together a portable makeup back, with my 100% essentials.

So here we have it!

So here are my staple items at the moment:

Foundation- I’ve tried expensive foundations, I LOVE the clarins one.. but for my regular makeup, Rimmel Lasting Finish in ‘Ivory’ just does the job.

Highlighter/ Bronzer- I use NYX’s palette when I’m at home, but for portable highlight you can’t beat Benefit’s High Beam. My bronzer has broken, but I’m using Chanel’s (a gift from when I worked at Women’s Health!)

Mascara- Not a huge fan of this one, but I’m currently using Rimmel’s volume colourist. It’s not waterproof enough for someone as emotional as me!

Eyeliner- I have and will use this liquid heaven until the day I die. Can’t beat Rimmel.

Brows- For the most important part of my face I use L’Oreal to shape and define, and then Benefit’s Ka-Brow! to fill them in.

Lips- I bounce between NYX’s liquid lipsticks, in several different shades, but at the moment I’m pairing ‘Cannes’ with my MAC ‘Soar’ lipliner. And can’t go wrong with Nivea lip-balm.
